Kodak Easyshare V705 Review at TrustedReviews

Mark Goldstein | Digital Compact Cameras | November 28, 2006 | 1 Comments

Kodak Easyshare V705TrustedReviews have reviewed the 7 megapixel, dual-lens Kodak Easyshare V705 camera.

“Picture quality is perhaps not a primary concern with a camera like this, but it’s actually not at all bad. The image files are very compressed at around 1.5MB each, but at least that means you can get well over 500 pictures on a 1GB card. Unfortunately it also means there are visible compression artefacts on many images. Image noise handling is not as good as some cameras that I’ve seen recently, and at the 1000 ISO maximum they are really very noisy.”

There are 3 things that make this camera worth buying, depending upon your priorities, each, in itself may qualify it's purchase...
1. Size, yep it is VERY pocketable!
2. Ultrawide lens, awesome to have it avaiable when needed!
3. In-camera panoramic stiching, yep, it works and works very well, awesome!
My V570 mirrors most of this upgraded version, which reminds me, my main problem is the mirror-like reflection off the stupid retro- looking backside, really distracting and may be the cause of me going blind!!!
