I swear I love Kodak as a Point and Shoot and wish they would make a kick ass DSLR, but this Z5010 is going to be a stepchild in the Kodak range. The Z981 and Z980 are MUCH better cameras that can shoot in RAW. It is much more adjustable for the professional looking for a P&S. I personally have a Z8612 with 12X Zoom and will be upgrading to a Z990 any minute now. I tried the Z5010 in Walmart, and it is very sharp, it does not adjust MSAP. Also the f/stop is very limited. It did a wierd jumo in ranges...but the lowest ISO is 64 which is good! ;) (Lower than Canon and Nikon P&S). Great for someone who wants a good Automatic camera, but if you love to adjust your camera manually, get a Z980 or Z981 (which in in this Zoom range) or the Superzoom Z990 (The beast of P&S)

Yes you can Zoom on Video Thellis. But you might want a tri-pod IF you do not have a VERY steady hand if you zoom in 75-100% because any Little shaking of your hand gets picked up BIG time and is hard to watch during play back.
It can hold how ever much memory of a card you put in. I had an 8GB card and had about 10-13 mins of video and 60 pics at 14.3 MP. and only took half the memory up. The Video is HD 720p. looks freakin amazing during play back(on a HD screen) 21x zoom is legit. Its says it likes 4 or 8 GB SD cards i have not tried any bigger...yet. I want to go 16 or 32 GB.

I bought my Z5010 from wallmart for $179.99. My main use for this camera will be wildlife photography with the 21x lens. I feel that the kodak has great potential but you really need to know the camera, some shots came out fuzzy, while others taken at same time came out crisp and clear. Also the LCD screen could use improvement, it's kinda grainy, you think you have taken a grainy shot but after uploading to the PC it's a crisp, clear, great shot. The Auto Focus feature doesn't work up close, but that's not what this camera was made for, the AF works great for distant shots. Overall I will give it a 4 of 5 stars because it does exactly what i got it for, ZOOM. It would get 5 if I could take close up macro shots, but i think I'm asking too much out of what it was ment to do

I bought my Z5010 from Sears ($179.95), after my Kodak P850's retractable lens died. It took a little getting used to as the controls are different. I give it 5 stars for the type of photography I do....general family photos, and press photography.
And I do have to say, with a tripod...the ZOOM is amazing !!

When you see new tech products just wait 6 to 7 months. I picked up this excellent point and shoot today with the accessory kit (Charger, Case and crummy cat 4 SD memory card)for $99.00 at Walmart. For those who think this camera is slow put those cat 4 cards into service storing your MP3's and put a decent Cat 10 SD Card in it. The feature that drew me to the Z5010 is the quality of the 21X - 25mm to 525mm Zoom Schneider Kreuznach lens that is as good as any Canon or Nikon lens I've ever used. This is a superb value.
