Kodak HDTV DockThe Kodak HDTV Dock connects to your HDTV to process pictures from Kodak HD-enabled digital cameras, SD memory cards or USB drives to deliver an outstanding visual experience to share with family and friends.  The launch of the HDTV Dock, not only makes viewing images in HD possible, but also makes it easy. Using the remote control feature on the Kodak HDTV Dock enables consumers to manage their digital pictures while relaxing on the living room sofa. The Kodak HDTV Dock makes it effortless to enjoy a full HD-quality slideshow, edit individual images, transfer images to a USB drive, or even print images to a connected printer. Along with being backward compatible with many Kodak digital cameras, the HDTV Dock automatically charges the rechargeable battery so the camera is ready whenever needed. The Kodak HDTV Dock will be available from October 2007 for €99.

An interesting product, it could be useful even if you don't own a Kodak camera as it can display photos from either the built in SD reader or a USB attached drive (thumb drive, real hard drive or even another card reader).

It also has the ability to print photos to a USB PictBridge attached printer and, more significantly, it allows you to copy photos from the card reader to the USB attached drive, so if someone wants a copy of a photo its easy to do without having to go to the computer.

If this had a DVI-D or VGA output it would allow one to convert an LCD monitor into a large photo frame - but it doesn't, pity!

It could also be improved by supporting 1080p, as it appears to be a 720p device (only component video and not HDMI cabling).

Still it might be just the thing to convert Grandma's big TV into a easy to use slide show and give her the ability to print photos without having to use a computer.
