Leica Announce Digital Back for R8 and R9

DIGITAL-MODUL-RYesterday Leica announced the DIGITAL-MODUL-R, a 10 Megapixel digital back for the R8 and R9 cameras. Developed in association with Imacon and Kodak, the camera back is still very much work-in-progress. All images on the Web are computer-generated versions, and the actual produuct won’t be unveiled until the Photokina photography trade show at the end of 2004. The DIGITAL-MODUL-R has an early suggested RRP of 4,500 Euro.
