Leica has released a firmware update for the Leica M9 interchangeable-lens digital rangefinder camera. Version 1.116 removes a magenta cast seen in the left half of the frame when certain wide-angle lenses - including the 18mm f/3.8 ASPH; the 21mm f/2.8 ASPH; the 24mm f/3.8 ASPH; the 28mm f/2 ASPH and the 28mm f/2.8 ASPH - are used, introduces an ISO-dependent vignetting correction feature, improves image quality in thumbnail display, speeds up the SD card formatting process, and fixes bugs.

Hey guys, very odd but not the first time I have seen delays with Leica. My info came from a very reputable source and I did see it on Leica Rumors as well. Maybe we have been duped? Even if we were, I still think it will be coming any day now (at least I hope so). Hang in there!
