London Snow 2003

Mark Goldstein | Personal | February 9, 2003 | 4 Comments

Here are a few photos of the recent snowfall in London, a rare event that caused widespread chaos in Southern England. You will never believe that less than 2 inches of fluffy snow caused some people to be trapped overnight in their cars. The Northern half of the country had a big laugh at our expense, calling us Southern Softies on the national News grin

These images were taken through the back window of my home, using my Minolta Dimage 5 digital camera.

I love the first picture. It took me a few seconds to work out exactly what it was, but after I had, simply "wow"! Lovely and sharp, and almost abstract!

I was trying to aim for an abstract image, so thanks!
It was taken using the macro mode, which lets you focus at about 5cm...

Ha! Nice pictures but, really, two inches? I live in Vermont in the USA where we barely turn our heads at 2 inches of snow...

Hi Patricia!

I know, I know, it only took 2 inches of snow to paralyse the entire southern half of England.

What a shambles!
