Luminous Landscape Report Nikon D2

Mark Goldstein | Digital SLR Cameras | July 17, 2003 | 3 Comments

It seems that the rumours of a new DSLR from Nikon are gaining ground. First reported by the French photographic magazine Chasseur d’Images a few days ago, Michael Reichmann is also adding his weight, going as far as identifying the D2’s main features:

- 4 Megapixel sensor
- 8 frames / sec
- approximately a 21 frame buffer in RAW mode
- minimum 125 ISO
- 802/11b wireless LAN

So since this supports 802.11b, can I get my pictures off the camera and on to my network without having to attach it using a USB cable?

I guess so.

Interestingly DP Review are reporting today that Fuji have a prototype of a new digital camera with wireless incorporated:

That'd be cool. I haven't looked up the link yet, but I hope they support 802.11g, since it was just ratified. (And a lot faster than 11b.)

We just went wireless last weekend.
