Mac OS X 10.5.7 Adds Raw Support for 14 Cameras

The newest update to Mac OS X Leopard, version 10.5.7, adds system-level raw support for 14 new cameras and digital backs. These include four Leaf cameras and backs, six DSLRs, two interchangeable-lens rangefinders and two advanced compacts. Click through / read on for the full list of newly added cameras and backs.

Why would Apple bother doing this at all if it's such a short list? Seems if you do this, you make it cover many many more cameras (like my D70s for example). And what's it for anyway? Does this mean you'll be able to manipulate RAW files in Iphoto? Come on PBlog, work a bit harder on providing actual information.

The D70s and many other camera's raw formats were already supported as per support.apple.com/kb/HT1475

Indeed. As stated in the post, this is a list of new additions only, i.e. of cameras and backs that gain raw support in version 10.5.7. The D70 has been supported ever since Leopard came out.
