Manfrotto School of Xcellence is going to host Drew Gardner for a webinar devoted to the Olympic Golden Greats project. Taking place from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm BST on Monday, 11 June 2012, the webinar will take participants behind the scenes of this exciting project: which saw Drew travel all over the UK and the USA photographing every senior British Olympic Gold medallist. The second webinar of the week, taking place from 6:00pm on Friday, explores the key pillars of David duChemin’s new book, Visually Speaking. During this one-hour webinar, participants will discover the key techniques David explored in his book, and he will discuss the visual language and how a grasp of that language can help photographers create stronger, more meaningful images. Drew Gardner will take participants behind the scenes of this exciting project: which saw him travel all over the UK and the USA photographing every senior British Olympic Gold medallist. Drew has captured Olympic greats including Ann Packer and Terry Spinks.

The webinar will show how the Olympic Golden Greats project tested Drew to the limit and how the lightweight location techniques used proved invaluable, making it of interest to anyone who wants to take their location lighting to the next level.

Drew Gardner is an award-winning London based photographer. His work is diverse with a narrative, encompassing group portraiture to photographing beautiful and extraordinary people on location and in the studio. He has a passion for photography and people, and knows how to get the very best from any given situation. He lectures in advanced digital and lighting techniques in the USA, Europe and the Middle East and his work has been exhibited worldwide.

The second webinar of the week explores the key pillars of David duChemin’s new book, Visually Speaking.

During this one-hour webinar, participants will discover the key techniques David explored in his book, and he will discuss the visual language and how a grasp of that language can help photographers create stronger, more meaningful images. David duChemin is a Vancouver-based international assignment photographer specializing in Humanitarian and world photography.
