More Rumoured Digital Cameras…

I’m not sure if these pictures are the real deal or someone’s artistic impression, but there are rumours circulating about a new Minolta DSLR and less convincingly about a new Olympus digital compact. Pictured above is the Minolta Dynax 7d, below is the Olympus c8080 Wide Zoom. I believe that both manufactuers will make their PMA announcments in the next few days, so you won’t have too long to wait to find out if these rumours are true or not.

Minolta 7D images we're scrutinised in Yahoo Minolta group and rather unanimously agreed to be fakes. But as Minolta sent out this strange letter to people who have expressed their interest in Minolta DSLR so perhaps there is something coming out and I will have something to stick my Minolta lenses on

C'mon Mark...you should know that this is definately made up info. Do you think any company would call one of their components a "super noise reduction processor", or would even consider making the statement "Noise Free images up to ISO 400"? Even pro-dSLRs display SOME noise at ISO200 and above.

And further, there is no 1/1.8" 8MP CCD. All the current 8MP prosumers are built around Sony's 2/3" CCD.
Normally you run a great website, but sheesh...
