We've been hard at work behind-the scenes making our Camera Reviews index easier to use. You can now search for a camera by date, the manufacturer and the camera's final rating, or a combination of all three. So if you want to see the 5-star cameras from Canon, all the Sony cameras, or the 4-star lenses from Nikon, simply use the various "filter by" buttons.

And don't forget that we also have our Best Digital Cameras guide which makes a great starting point to choosing the best camera for you.

Let us know what you think of the new look in the Comments section...

Nice clean looking design, but as I don’t have Java its useless for me (Have to use another PC just to add this comment!). Shame as it does look nice, and it's good you haven’t tried to overcomplicate it.

Now that I have had a play I have noticed some things.
How do you filter by type? if I want to just search for mirrorless cameras, or even just want to see Panasonic compacts, or Nikon SLR's I cant do it!
Plus dividing it up between before and after 2009 is to be honest a bit rubbish!
Looks like I will still keep to my method of googling for your reviews rather than using this (which I can't use anyway as I don’t have Java on my main PC!

I have always begun my search for a new camera with your reviews. Searching by rating is a good method since often starting with the best category helps me to narrow the field very quickly. So, good job. That's a very good idea. By the way, I love your extensive reviews. They have always proved quite reliable. Thank you.
