Cool Camera! I like the brushed aluminum finish. Although those silicone cases doesn't do justice to the sleek and stylish body of the camera. I can't wait for Nikon to have these in the market.

The Olympus E-PL1 is dirt cheap. Can they beat that?

Not really. Let's see .. Less image quality , much lower iso and more noise in high iso images. Less lenses available. Almost same size as the E-PL1 or Panasonic GF3. Way more expensive. So yah pretty much we sure have a winner on our hands.

Actually, at least in the limited comparisons I've seen, the noise compares favorably with the cameras from Olympus and Panasonic. I was actually quite surprised. I personally think the Nikons are butt ugly, and I'm already invested in m43, so I'm not changing now, but 10 fps? Wow.

Looks like Nikon has pulled the stops on their "made in China" cameras.
There should be no shortage of supply, but a flood of product hitting the stores before Christmas.
7 more lens sounds like a long term commitment to me.
I thought they would test the waters and then flush this system, but evidently they expect it to sell.
All these "Pocket" cameras are too small for me to hold steady, so I will have to wait for the next DSLR. Hopefully some of the better technology will migrate upwards.
