Constructed of 8 elements in 6 groups, the Nikon 1 Nikkor 11-27.5mm f/3.5-5.6 lens has an angle-of-view range of 72° to 32°20’‘, equivalent to that of a 30-75mm lens in a 35mm system. Available from September 2012 for £179.99/€217.00/$189.95, Nikon’s new 11-27.5mm lens will be offered in back and white, and will be compatible with the Nikon 1 J2 as well as the Nikon 1 V1 and Nikon 1 J1.

Why introduce an 11-27.7 when you already have a 10-30? Ok so it is half an inch smaller, but that is not enough to make it different.
What these cameras need are some prime lenses, like (equivalent) 35mm, 50mm, 90mm and 135mm. CSCs with zooms are ugly and certainly not pocketable. If you are going to have a system, let's have a proper one.

Roy, while I agree with your comment “If you are going to have a system, let's have a proper one.”, and your desire for some decent primes, I fear the negative response of most enthusiasts to this system has blown any chances of the system developing in direction. Why would Nikon go that way now, even if they originally intended to? Shame really, it could have been good.
