Nikon has posted an update to Capture NX. Version 2.4.0 adds support for raw files created by the Nikon 1 J3 (pictured) and Nikon 1 S1 compact system cameras, incorporates a couple of modifications to White Balance in the Camera Settings portion of the Develop section in the Edit List palette, and fixes a bug related to JPEG image display. The Windows variant of the software additionally gains compatibility with 64- and 32-bit Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, and Windows 8 Enterprise (though without touchscreen support), whereas the MacOS edition adds support for high-res Retina displays. (Do note that this applies only to image display in the image window.) You can download the software update from the website below.
