#4 review of nikon coolpix p100

Nikon Coolpix P100 is a 10 mp camera. Design-wise, its very appealing to the eyes. Shooting wise, its very fast, the speed is good. The quality of photo and video is not very satisfying. It easily fits in one's pocket. For more details refer

I am trying to find a superzoom and am thinking of buying the panasonic lumix fz 38. However I want one with a cmos sensor. Are they better with cmos sensors or is the fact that the panasonic has a leica lens sufficient? What is better, panasonic fz38 or nikon p100 or other superzooms with cmos sensors? I only want a very good superzoom that will take really good holiday photos but may want to enlarge. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am still waiting for a camera about the size of the Nikon P5100 -- Something that will at least come close to fitting into a pocket. My Nikon 7900 was a great little camera but too small. Put into this "ideal camera" as much of the extras as can comfortably fit and make the pictures of a superior quality. Wide angle lens, reasonable zoom and as fast as possible must be present. Put all the quality that Nikon can muster (when they choose) into it and charge $1000 to $1200. If the quality is there, it will sell.

I love this camera. When my camera finally arrived right out of the box I was impressed with the overhauled version of the p90 they had added several useful features. In my first test last night after it arrived, I was blown away by the difference. Close shots of a ladybug on the orange tree v. zooming in on lamp posts across the street - everything was clear. I took a photo of my old car and it looked like a dealership photo. As an aside, I have no idea how the camera made the dirty car clean. I think I’ve made a right decision when I bought Nikon P100.
