Nikon D70 Photos: Real or Fake?

Mark Goldstein | Digital SLR Cameras | January 23, 2004 | 6 Comments

Nikon D703 images have appeared on the Nikon forum over at DPReview which look as though they might be the genuine article. There’s a shot of the camera from the top, the rear and an isometric view. The pictures seem to have originally been posted on a Chinese photography forum. Also 29th January has been rumoured to be the date for the official unveiling of the D70, with cameras in stores by the end of February.

These photos were published in one of japanese photo magazines, and they were magazines "guesses". So they ARE fake.

This image was also published in the Canadian Magazine "Hub: Digital Living" for the January Issue. Whether they are fake or not, we'll just have to wait and see when Nikon decides to release some press photos.

The official announcement is now up at Nikon's own site at http://nikonimaging.com/global/news/2004/0128_01.htm -- interesting indeed.
