Pentax has posted a few official sample images taken with the new Pentax Q compact system camera. Captured at ISO 125 and ISO 200 using the (50mm equivalent) 8.5mm f/1.9 lens at f/2.8, these four Pentax Q samples were shot raw and developed in-camera. The reflection in the girls left eye in the first photo looks a bit suss to me. It looks like its been added in afterwards.

If these really are straight out of the camera its pretty impressive really considering the specs, but till i take a photo with the camera myself and see the results, i'm a little skeptical. They do appear to be processed somewhat.

The kitten photo and the sunflower are very good photos though, i would be very happy to have a pocketable IL camera that produces results like that.

exif says it's from pen Q but it looks fake, there's no way you can get that kind of DOF and bokeh out of a tiny 1/2.3 sensor, human technology simply can't do it just yet!
