Olympus E-3 Review

Olympus E-3DIWA member Digit.no have reviewed the new Olympus E-3 DSLR camera.

“The Olympus E-3 features a rugged and weather-proof body and lens construction, combined with a number of smart and useful features such as Live View on a flexible LCD screen, super-fast 11-point AF, an effective image stabilizer and a large and bright 100% viewfinder. Despite its small image sensor with 10 MP resolution, the E-3 delivers excellent image sharpness and low image noise up to ISO 800. The new 5x wide angle zoom lens Zuiko Digital 12-60mm f/2.8-4 (24-120 mm eq.) with 25cm close focus, meets most photographic challenges and displays extraordinary qualities. The light and compact body/lens combination is a dream to work with and only a few design details spoils the perfect picture, such as no zoom at image review, a fuzzy enlarged image at playback, an annoying shooting mode setting delay and no C-AF with Live View. In a world of strict regulations on hand luggage, the E-3 should be the perfect choice for a wide range of professional photographers. It meets most professional requirements, although not quite comparable to the Nikon D3 or the Canon EOS-1D Mark III. Neither is the price, the size or the weight.”
