Olympus IS-500 Review
The Olympus IS-500 is an all-in-one SLR camera with a recommended price of £219.99. It looks and acts like a traditional 35mm SLR, but the lens is built-in and cannot be detached, which for some people may be more convenient than carrying around a bag full of lenses. So can the IS-500 offer the best of both worlds - convenience and quality? Read my review to find out.

Sir,
Whats landed cost of the 1.3x teleconvertor in Rupees in India, Mumbai?
Need to know whether we can add a wide angle lens to IS-500?
The camera is excellent & produces excellent results.
Is there any way the lens aperture can be adjusted to 1/100sec as my camera does not operate the flash automatically.
Regards
Vipin

Hi Vipin,
I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your first question.
As far as I know there aren't any extra lenses available for the IS-500 (it's a fixed lens camera).
Do you mean adjusting the shutter speed to 1/100th second?

I have the IS-500 camera and you can add several converters to it including wide angle and a 1.7 teleconverter that stretches it to 204 mm. It appears all IS-series camera lenses will fit it. I am using the IS-10 1.7 teleconveter with my IS-500 and it works perfectly.
