Olympus has released a firmware update for the Olympus E-P5 compact system camera. Version 1.2 incorporates certain modifications to the transfer mode settings for Eye-Fi cards. The firmware can be updated by connecting your camera to a computer with a working Internet connection and using the free Digital Camera Updater utility.

I cannot believe that this update was just for changing the transfer rate for Eye-Fi cards. It was a very large change and took around 10 minutes+ to load in the camera.

I have been in contact with Olympus Europe to suggest that if possible they add a different colour to focus peaking, where the current options of black and white are both unsatisfactory. The red peaking in my Leica M240 is far better. The peaking in the EP-5 is also not sufficiently selective. Olympus seemed to take this on board so crossed fingers for the next FW update.
