Wow. The 600 is pretty sweet.
I was considering a Lumix FZ35, but now I am thinking I should wait and see how this fares.

Nice camera!! I got one last week and I am pleased with the quality of photos it is taking. The Zoom is more than useful for most purposes. If you have a steady hand, it takes great photos in Low light also.

I am most impressed by the HD movie quality.even at 15x zoom the movie quality it took of a Pigeon at 15 - 20 m away was crystal clear.

I got mine a few days ago, great for taking pictures with true to life colors...

the zoom is great it can take photos a distance with a crystal clear quality... I even got hook taking a lot of photos, it comes with an alkaline battery that i am still using right now, even after a few days it still have some battery left..

highly recommended for those amateur photographers who wants to take professional looking photographs..

I bought an SP-600UZ a few weeks ago and have found the early results disappointing.

I wanted to upgrade from my old but reliable Kodak DX6490.

The prospect of 3 times clearer picture resolution particularly appealed to me.

However,I obtain far sharper pictures from the 4MP Kodak than the 12MP Olympus...even using all the optimum settings.

I would not recommend this camera.

I am very dissapointed because of low quality of pictures taken by zoom. Namely, a half of a picture is not sharp. Probably, the real resolution is 8 Mpx only.
