Panasonic 45-200mm Firmware Update 1.1

Panasonic has released a firmware update for the 45-200mm lens. The 1.1 update for the LUMIX G VARIO 45-200mm / F4.0-5.6 / MEGA O.I.S. lens improves the auto focus performance in AFC mode and the auto focusing and stability of the Optical Image Stabilizer while reducing noise of aperture control for taking movies.

Panasonic updates firmware for LUMIX G VARIO 45-200mm/F4.0-5.6/MEGA O.I.S. (H-FS045200)

Panasonic is pleased to announce that a new firmware is released for the Lumix G interchangeable lens LUMIX G VARIO 45-200mm / F4.0-5.6 / MEGA O.I.S. (H-FS045200).  The firmware includes improvement of auto focus performance in AFC mode for taking photos. It also enhances performance of auto focusing and stability of O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer) while reducing noise of aperture control for taking movies (Except for FHD mode of AVCHD in DMC-GH1).

The new firmware (version 1.1) will be available to download worldwide on the 17th of September 2009 at 0700 BST at http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/.

#1 computer accessories

After updating I discovered two… well… oddities.

1. The Display changes its luminosity even when the Menu is shown depending on the light that goes into the lens.
2. The Auto Review options are minimized to 3 and 5 sec. No off…. no hold… no zoom.

Anybody else experiencing this?
