Panasonic UK will be showcasing a range of digital compact cameras, CSCs and camcorders at The Photography Show, a brand new exhibition dedicated to the imaging industry, held on 1st–4th March at the NEC in Birmingham. Each day of the show will see a different Guest Speaker on Panasonic’s 4K display themed stand (G50 and G60), including David Eustace, Hugh Hastings, Ian Cook, Jan Williams and Chris Teasdale.

Panasonic at The Photography Show
Panasonic is pleased to be exhibiting at The Photography Show, a brand new exhibition dedicated to the imaging industry, held at the NEC in Birmingham. Taking place on 1st–4th March, Panasonic will be showcasing a range of award winning LUMIX G, LUMIX and HD camcorders on stand G50 and G60.
Panasonic’s well regarded LUMIX G products will be available to explore including the award winning DMC-GX7 DSLM camera with a tiltable Live Viewfinder, award winning DMC-GM1 and the brand new Leica 42.5mm lens. Pansonic’s new compact cameras will also be on the stand including the LUMIX DMC-TZ60 premium travel compact with 30x optical zoom, electronic viewfinder, NFC-equipped Wi-Fi® connectivity and a host of manual shooting functions. The newly announced DMC-TZ55, DMC-SZ8, DMC-LZ40 will also be demonstrated. There will be live demonstrations throughout the day, hands on opportunities, expert help and plenty of opportunities for questions and answers.
In addition to the LUMIX line up, there will also be an extensive collection of HD Camcorders on the stand, including the flagship HC-W850 with its new Twin Camera™ function which enables users to capture two scenes at once, revolutionising the creative filming opportunities.

Saturday 1st March – A New Way Of Seeing
Glaswegian born David Eustace’s simple, no-nonsense work seems reflective of his varied life experiences. Prior to becoming a world-renowned photographer, he served with the Royal Navy and also as a prison officer in Scotland. Now based in New York, David will be attending the show and sharing his experiences of the LUMIX system.
Sunday 2nd March – Six Reasons A Pro Went Mirrorless
Hugh Hastings, who was the Official Photographer at a Premier League Football Club for nine years, and now manages the Official Photo Archive for the Club will be talking about his experiences as a photographer and specifically of the benefits of the new, smaller camera systems.
Monday 3rd March – LUMIX G The Sporting Challenge
Ian Cook, a senior photographer for Sports image library CameraSport, has covered many events from the recent London 2012 Olympic Games, 2010 Ryder Cup, Wales and England football internationals, Six Nations Rugby and Welsh Open Golf. Ian will be explaining how he goes about shooting sports and how the Panasonic GX7 and range of lenses are used during his working day. Ian will also talk about his plans to use the GX7 at the upcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Tuesday 4th March – Inspiration Is All Around You
The Caravan Gallery: Jan Williams & Chris Teasdale. This artist duo document the reality and surreality of everyday life and exhibit the results in their mobile gallery, 'normal' art galleries, museums and publications. Offering a thought provoking and perceptive approach to photography, the Caravan gallery having been using Panasonic cameras for around 17 years.
With its eye catching stand, and regular appearances on the Live Stage (Hall 11) with presentations by Damien Demolder in his ‘Hairy Biker Challenge’ demonstrating the key features of Lumix G, Panasonic is the one to watch at the show. Panasonic LUMIX G will also be featuring in Hugh Hastings’ insight into sports photography at The Studio (Hall 11) on Sunday 2nd March at 11am.
