Panasonic is always impressing me. I have one FH-3 from them and although it's a simple and small one, make a very qualit work (at sun light, of course). And I'm programing to by a FZ-100 or a G3, but now I'll wait for 150.

I have waited three years to buy from Panny in this category and it has been immensely frustrating. The release of this camera is always Auguest when the season for the northern hemisphere shutterbugs is officially over. They clearly are targeting this camera under the Christmas tree. what a drag I'm looking to take pictures outdoors not of the Christmas tree!!!??? Each year there has been a major shortfall for Panny in this category. 2011 sees a serious laggard in the times optical category. Canon Olympus Nikon (many others) are marketing the megazoom in the 36X-40X capacity yet Panasonic Lumix dares not go near them.

I know why they have made great inroads to the improvement of the PQ but at a cost to the buyer each time. The digital enhancement feature is a poor substitute if you're trying to offer the best quality camera in this category.

I am deeply disappointed Panny didn't manage at least a 36X optical to keep abreast of it's competitors. VERY pleased the PQ especially low light quality has been improved it despaerately needed it but I need a luggable megazoom with this kind of quality and Panasonic is unable to deliver. Major bummer :-(
