Panasonic GH1 Gets A Price Tag in the UK Too

Following a press release by Panasonic USA, the company’s UK branch has also announced an approximate price for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH1. The new Mirco Four Thirds digital camera with Full-High Definition video recording ability will be available in early June on Panasonic’s eshop for approx. £1299.99 including the new Lumix G Vario HD 14-140mm lens.

Rather a steep price, if the lens had Leica printed on the front, I might consider it.

Crazy price!
There's some very good prices on the G1 at the moment. Cheap enough that could buy a G1 and an HD camcorder and still have change out of a GH1.
I would like to have waited to see how good the Samsung NX is, but really can't afford to miss out on the G1 bargains - having said that, I'll probably find it too small for comfort when I try one out.

This is currently the only dSLR camera that has true autofocus during video. Yes, the 1080p video mode has a lot of artifacts when panning, but the 720p HD modes are pristine. Overall the best dSLR-like camera that can do video at this time.
