Panasonic have announced an upcoming firmware update for their Lumix GH5 cmpact system camera (pictured). Available from 24 April 2017, Firmware Version 1.1enables 4:2:2 10-bit video recording in either FHD [MP4(LPCM)] / [MOV] or Anamorphic (4:3) mode, in addition to the existing 4K video recording option, and fixes a couple of bugs. Firmware Update for LUMIX DC-GH5

Panasonic today announces a firmware update for LUMIX DC-GH5 and the LUMIX G X VARIO PZ 45-175mm / F4.0-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-PS45175) digital interchangeable lens.

DC-GH5 Firmware Update Service Ver.1.1 for Expansion of 4:2:2 10-bit Video Recording Mode

Panasonic is announcing the new firmware update program Ver.1.1 for DC-GH5 to further enhance its performance. The new firmware Ver.1.1 enables 4:2:2 10-bit video recording in either FHD [MP4(LPCM)] / [MOV] and Anamorphic (4:3) mode, in addition to the existing 4K video recording mode.

The firmware version 1.1 also includes following bug fixes:
- A problem in which the exposure adjustment did not operate properly during live view standby under specific condition in using [Variable Frame Rate].
- A problem in which afterimages appeared when recording video under high ISO sensitivity settings in using [V-LogL]
