Guys beware of what type of card use on this cam. I have Sandisk Ultra 2 Class 4 16G SD and Patriot LX 8G Class 10. It works well with sandisk but not patriot. When I use it on patriot card, after I stop recording, the cam hang for 3-5 seconds before you can continue with another recording. I doubt the write speed on patriot is much slower than sandisk even though it is rated Class 10. The operation manual recommended Class 4 and faster card. I haven't tried it on Kingston and Kingmax SD card.

Hi Judith.
It's not a fault. When you zoomed in at maximum, your lens magnification also maximum, thus you handshake can easily noted. Since this camera uses Electronic EIS, it is usually not as effective as optical image stabilizer where inside the lens compensate for handshake.

In order to compensate for handshake, the easiest way is to use a video tripod or monopod. But those are bulky to bring around. Try to get a place to brace when you zoomed in like a wall or lamp post. There's a rig by Manfrotto Modo Steady 585 where you can use it as steadicam or transform into body brace stabilizer. Very handy, small and easily fit into your bang. Check out modo.manfrotto.com for mroe detail or google Manfrotto Modo Steady 585.

Hope this help.

Hi,

Thanks for the review. I bought this camera a few weeks ago. It's great for landscape and photos. My only issue is that even when it's at its most zoomed out, it's still too close for recording in small-medium size spaces. For example, turning the camera to your face at full arms length, is completely zoomed in to your face and too close to use. It's simply not practical for up close work. Any ideas if there's a setting or anything that can change this?

This is a great little camera and in my opinion the best in its price range. I love it.

If your thinking of buying any other camera in a similar price range I know you'll change your mind after you watch this test video that shows its full potential on you. Be sure to watch it in 720p to get the full effect!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXqXPCnGxEE
