This looks like the camera all enthusiastic amateurs have been waiting for. Adding Raw and a 600mm Zoom to a 25mm Wide angle really must be a worry for the DSLR brigade with their rucksacks on their backs.
In my experience The Leica lense and antishake control are excellent especially at the long end and for macro shots. The addition of HD video really does mean this camera is the full package.
I can't wait to get one, no question of looking elsewhere. Done Deal !!!

Well, the this new camera still won't match the big boys in quality but it will still blow the rest of the compact market away! I have the FZ35 and it takes great shots and video but doesn't come close to the quality of my Canon DSLR with L lenses so I don't think it will really worry the DSLR brigade at all. But, it is a hell of a lot lighter though and I'm using it more and more for trips rather than lugging my big daddy around with a backpack. I will definitely upgrade to the FZ100 as soon as it hits US shores!

Panasonic did a beautiful design job but,

We still need a wireless remote with a shutter and a zoom control

A rubber eye cup

I have a new FZ100 and cannot work out what I have done. On the "P" setting using the Stablizer, I can oly select OFF or Mode 1. I don't know what I have done or how I can get it to change back to UTO. Any help please.
