Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 & LX3 Firmware Updates

Panasonic has released firmware updates for the Panasonic Lumix LX3 and TZ7 (ZS3) digital compact cameras. Version 2.2 for the LX3 and version 1.3 for the TZ7 both optimise software processing without affecting camera performance.

This firmware may update each camera so that it cannot use a non-Panasonic battery.

At least for my LX3 there was no apparent differences in operation. And my 3rd party battery works as usual.

The firmware is SOLELY to stop you using anything but the MASSIVELY overpriced Panasonic Lumix batteries. Don't do it. You know it makes sense.
