Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX2 Review at CameraLabs

Mark Goldstein | Digital Compact Cameras | October 3, 2006 | 2 Comments

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX2CameraLabs have just reviewed the new 10 megapixel Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX2.

“The Lumix DMC LX2 is instantly recognisable as a Panasonic compact. It’s a smart-looking camera with a selection of dials and buttons which hint at the degree of manual control available while giving an air of seriousness. With design elements harking back to classic film rangefinders, you know from the first look the LX2 will appeal to photographic enthusiasts.”

I'll save my $500 and wait for the next one.

I was hoping that the LX2 would be the one, but I guess not.

They really messed up the noise issue, didn't they? They go from very noisy in the LX1 to low noise but smudgy in the LX2.

Very disappointing.

The petition , if acted on by Panasonic will help.
You are 100% correct, we are not there yet!
Very impressed with what they did with the FZ series, gotta get those folks over to the LX lab and give them some pointers.
