Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 Las Vegas As promised, we have a selection of 36 photos taken with a pre-production version of the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 ultra-zoom compact camera on a recent press trip to Las Vegas, USA. Please note that the DMC-TZ5 that I used was a pre-production version, therefore these images do not represent the quality of the final production camera.

Can you fix the links? They're all broken. Can't see any of them in full, they all get cut off near the top and the rest of the photo is grey.

I HOPE THE PRODUCTION TZ5 PICTURES ARE A LOT BETTER THAN THESE, THEY ARE ALL OUT OF FOCUS AND THE COLORS DON'T LOOK VERY GOOD , MAYBE ITS JUST THE WAY THE CAMERA EXPOSES THEM, IF SO PANASONIC NEEDS TO FIX THAT PROBLEM. I HAVE MY EYE ON THIS CAMERA FOR PURCHASE BUT THE SAMPLES NEEDS TO LOOK A LOT BETTER.

the first view portraits seem to have a focus problem, most of the others are sharp on the pixel-level. one really can get some good crops out of these.
the noise level on the last 2 shots were average, so compared to my TZ1 there is no big difference, hence full sharpness is only achieved in bright light.
a feature i miss on the new models are the manual modes for exposure and shutter - that would be one reason to upgrade, though i fancy the 720p video mode too.
in conclusion: nothing new, why does no manufacturer give us good high-iso quality to memorize our beloved ones in nice colours (without flash) ? that would be the only true reason for me to buy another digicam! (and i hardly have the money to buy a d-slr)

I'm a complete amateur with a limited budget - I have just ordered the Panasonic DMC-TZ3, and then heard about the TZ4/5! Is there really much difference between the 2?
