Panasonic to Buy Sanyo?

PanasonicPanasonic are in talks with Sanyo to create Japan’s largest electronics retailer. Panasonic will approach Sanyo’s top three shareholders, with a sale of their shares possible from March 2009. Panasonic are particularly interested in Sanyo’s battery business, including the solar battery division.
