Panasonic has issued a firmware update for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 (DMC-ZS7) travelzoom camera. Version 1.1 improves stability on start-up and optimises the light output of INON external underwater strobes, including the following models: S-2000 / D-2000 / Z-240.

I tried the firmware upgrade and believe it or not it does seem to make a difference to the final result of the pictures taken with this digital camera. It works really well for me, but there again I am just a snapper.

I followed the Panasonic instructions to upgradebut the firmware upgrade menu doesn't appear. Here are the steps i followed

1: Switch off
2. Remove SDHC card and copy de .bin file on it (no folder, just in the root directory)
3. Put de camera on "P" position and in playback
4. Insert SDHCD card
5 Switch on

The message displayed is "no valid picture" all the times i've tried

Any help please

Hi,
Had same problem. You need to first extract/open the download by clicking the TZ10 update file on the SD card. Then try putting in camera etc

Hmm, I seem to have same problem...
The current firmware version is ver. 1.0 on my TZ10. I also get the "no valid picture" message, when trying to update to ver 1.1.
Using the extracted TZ10_V11.bin file, placed in the root of the card, so it should work. Well, well...

Cheers

Hello
My name is Jefferson and I'm from Brazil
I bought a lumix zs7 and it came with the English language and Spanish, and I know there are those that come with various languages including Portuguese. I saw on the website of the Panasonic Japan has an update that fixes some problems of GPS and flash, but that does not update the language.
I would like to know how to get this firmware with the languages mainly with the Portuguese? I hope you can help me because I would love to work with her to the Portuguese
I'm waiting for an answer, thank you

You can check the "Version Disp." by going to the menu and selecting "Set up". Scroll through the items listed and choose "Version Disp." Check on line with Panasonic.com for the latest version for you camera.
