PC Magazine’s 10 Worst Products
PC Magazine have listed their 10 worst products for 2004, including a category for digital cameras:
“John C. Dvorak seems to think that a $99 Concord camera is just the ticket. Well, if it’s anything like the Concord 5062AF—don’t walk, run to another product instead. This camera claims to be five megapixels, and I’m sure that in some engineering fantasy land it pushes that many electrons. At about $200, it’s probably the cheapest 5MP camera you’ll see. But in this case, cheap doesn’t equal good.”

#1 Al O
I purchased a Concord 5062AF 5MP Camera.
I have to say that I have no problems with it
so far. When I first used it I was a little disappointed at the poor resolution on the screen when taking pictures. Don't get me wrong, the pictures came out great, but when trying to actually take a picture the screen seemed out of focus and I didn't know whether or not to take a picture. Thats when I noticed (about 35 pics later) a little notation stamped next to the shutter button. It said, " Two step shutter button. Press halfway to focus, then hold down to take picture." Lo and behold, when I pressed the shutterbutton halfway, I had a perfectly focused shot on my display screen before I took a picture. It pays to read these darn instuctions.LOL. Maybe for $200 you may want to spend a little more for a better camera, But for the price I paid ($80.00 on EBay) you can't go wrong.
