I'm really diggin this cam the more I hear about it. Those samples aren't shabby at all, very nice indeed. The supplied lens looks to have a slight bit of CA on the contrasty parts, but nothing to cry about. The chroma noise seems very well controlled too! Looks like a winner for Pentax - glad to see they're stepping up their game & really tailoring to their users.

Those are some nice samples; depending on the price point and lenses, this camera could easily move into the US market quite nicely.
Also, for the Japanese text, using the "To English" bookmarklet worked flawlessly to automatically translate the text.

I purchased a K7 a few weeks back, and used it on a recent trip to Italy and Croatia. I can't stress enough how versatile and well built it is. I would compare it to a compact supercar, like a Porche 911 Turbo. You may not need the power all the time, but it is there for your disposal if you choose to delve into it. What is always accessible however, is the superb compact weatherproof build and incredible image quality. For what I shoot, which is primarily travel photography and architecture/landscape, I can't give it anything less than a full endorsement.

I recently bought this camera as an upgrade to my K10D and have been very impressed with it. The added resolution and better autofocus alone justify this upgrade for me. I would recommend it to a friend without thinking twice.
