The entry-level camera market is a cut-throat world, with falling prices and improving specifications making DSLR photography more affordable than ever before. Enter stage left the new Pentax K-m (also known as the Pentax K2000), a small, light and simplified camera aimed squarely at beginners to SLR photography. Costing a wallet-friendly £399.99 / $699 with the new smc DA-L 18-55 lens (and flash in the US), the 10 megapixel Pentax Km is one of the smallest DSLRs available, yet still offers a host of impressive features. These include a built-in anti-shake system, dust-removal, Auto Picture mode, and 3.5 frames per second continuous shooting speed.
