Pentax Optio50LThe Pentax Optio50L is quietly introduced. The Optio 50L is yet another 5 megapixel camera with a 3x zoom lens from Pentax. The main difference between this new model and the existing Optio50 is the addition of a 2.5 inch LCD screen, although the optical viewfinder has been sacrificed. The Pentax Optio50L is available from December 2005, price and official press release to follow.

Pentax has like 8 small five-megapixel cameras. Why introduce another one? Market is practically overwhelmed with 5 MP cameras, almost each company has 7-10 of them. What's the point of making new ones? They are not getting any better.
