“Photographing people and travel photography are Johann’s favourite subjects in photography and he has travelled with his girlfriend (Sonja who shares his passion for photography) a lot in Iceland, Europe and Asia with his camera. In the summer of 2004 they travelled for 5 weeks in Eastern Europe (Poland, Ukraine, Romania and Hungary) and this summer they travelled with the Trans-Siberian railway from Moscow to China and travelled further in Asia on that trip. They are still working on the pictures but a selection has appeared on Johanns photoblog (joephotos.net). Next summer he plans to travel to India and Italy with his camera.”

I'm not surprised that Johann's photographs have received critical acclaim. They are stunning....I will follow his progress with great interest

#2 GARY POGODA

Some interesting portraits, particularly the facial close-ups. I did not
care for the narrow DOF in #11 as I think it detracts from the beauty
of the landscape. I also did not understand the intent of the blurring
in #15. I particularly liked the sharp figures and shadows against the
bold sky in #10. All-in-all, quite good, but I would keep the day job.
