I check out your website. I found the other albums much more interesting and refreshing than these photos. I think these photo just have the shock value to grab attention. Which is the common denominator in advertising to grab someone attendtion.

Some nice findings but couple of pictures are pretty darn close to just reframing existing pictures by other photographers. Especially the last one.

Interestingly, some of the images that have been photographed here must be copyrighted by the original photographers. I wonder what the legalities are on photographing other photographs! Anyone know?

I can't find (on his website) any notification about the work being re-photographs of photographs. Can you direct me there; I'm reserving my comments until then.

(See, it's because I'd like to comment to the photographer, not a reproduction technician.)

The final photograph is a picture of an advert (for Yves Saint Laurent's Opium perfume) starring Sophie Dahl. Some of the other photos do look like they're of other advertisments, although I don't specifically recognise any of them. My question was a general one of copyright, and not really a specific judgement on Mario's portfolio

I think some of us are missing the point, he's photographing shop windows in Milan so it's near impossible to actually not photograph someone work. However from what I've seen he's taking only sections of it to make his point. How many of us have taken a shot of a window display be it Blackpool, Paris or Milan. Remember his theme and it should make sense. Frame,Shoot, Crop, Print where's the problem.
