Six photographers picked from thousands of applicants are competing against each other to win an exhibition at the Baltic gallery in Newcastle and a publishing deal worth thousands of pounds. The first episode of ‘Picture This’ aired on 6th January at 7pm, with the next two episodes on on Sunday 13 January and Sunday 20 January.

TV contestants use HP to print their way to success

BRACKNELL, UK, Jan.10, 2008 – HP today announced its support of Channel 4’s quest to discover the UK’s most talented up and coming photographers.

The first episode of ‘Picture This’ aired on 6th January at 7pm and over the coming two weeks, will see six contestants put through their photographic paces, competing against each other to win an exhibition at the noted Baltic gallery in Newcastle and a publishing deal worth thousands of pounds.

Contestants face a weekly judging panel at which they are required to print their images from the week’s challenge.  HP will play a key technical role in assisting the contestants through the provision of Designjet Z Series Photo Printers; designed to deliver dependable, repeatable colour accuracy for 24- and 44-inch museum-quality prints with 200 years’ photo permanence1.
