PMA 2007 - Leica C-Lux 2
PMA 2007: Leica had a relatively small stand at PMA, hidden away in the German quarter upstairs on the second floor of the show. The only “new” product on display was the Leica C-Lux 2, which continues Leica’s relationship with Panasonic by taking the DMC-FX30 ultra-compact camera and giving it the usual Leica style makeover. The Leica rep didn’t have much to say about the new camera, other than it definitely wasn’t a Panasonic…honest.

From Panasonic's web site:
FX07 battery
Li-ion Battery Pack (3.7 V, 1,150 mAh)
FX30 battery
Li-ion Battery Pack (3.6 V, 1,000 mAh)
The newer FX30 is slightly thinner than previous cameras of it's type from Panasonic. They had to make the battery smaller to make the camera thinner.
From a PDF on Leica's site
Power supply
Lithium-ion battery (LEICA BP-DC6), 3.6 V, 1000 mAH
I'd say the Leica was based on the just released FX30 and not the older FX07

If all that silver around the lens were black the thing would look a lot nicer, IMHO....
