Praktica Luxmedia 6103Praktica Luxmedia 6103 is announced. The Praktica 6103 is a 6 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom and 1.6” TFT color monitor. The Luxmedia 6103 has 9.7 MB of built-in memory and supports the SD Card format. The Praktica Luxmedia 6103 offers 19 different scene modes and 4 ISO settings from 50-400.

Any idea who makes camera for Practica, looks like it might be 'Ability' of Taiwan, (?) apart from that, Luxmedia is a cunning attempt at sounding like Lumix isn't it?

That's the problems with foreign OEMs, you have to nail shut every chink (no pun intended) in their factory fence, just to stop the product clones seeping onto the market-place, otherwise its yet more employment for the IP legal beagles!

I'd really like to see a DSLR from Praktica.
They are a big and venerable brand and all of their film cameras that I know of were SLRs. How good it would be to use those magnificent old East German M42 Carl Zeiss lenses (remember that 50mm f/1.4 beast?) on a Praktica DSLR with an adapter!
