Price of Nikon D100 and Coolpix 5400 Reduced

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, but in the US (or at least, in the store I work at), the D100 is the same price as the Canon 10D ($1,499).

I think the D100 comes with a lens wheras the D10 is without. If not, and you really do charge the same, then you work in a pretty hopeless camera shop...! My understanding is that in the UK, the D100 and follow-ons will eventually settle into the £500-£800 price bracket, profitable for Canon but not too much to put people off. That won't stop it costing more in the meantime of course...

£500 for a Nikon D100 sounds great!

Personally I can see myself hanging on to the 10D for at least the next couple of years, if not longer. It's by the far the best camera that I've ever owned and it does most things that I require (at the moment at least).

Just a note: The D100 does not come with a lens. The Digital Rebel (300D) does, and the new Pentax has a lens option as well, but those are the only two dSLR lens kits that I know of.
