Sony launch customisable CD-R and DVD-R printable media range for a more professional finish

Paris, 15th February 2006 - Sony Europe’s Recording Media & Energy (RME) division today announced it has launched its new CD-R and DVD-R printable media range for users who wish to customise discs with their own unique designs. Sony’s new comprehensive printable media range is easy to use, providing a top quality, professional finish, not achievable with adhesive labels.

The new DVD-R and CD-R ranges have been certified for use with a wide variety of ink-jet and thermo printers, providing a quality photo printing finish. Users can draw on their creativity to personalise their CDs and DVDs making them as unique as the content on them, or to enable clear and easy media filing and archiving. The thermo printable discs use the latest high performance production processes and techniques and feature Sony’s unique AccuCore technology for DVD-R and advanced pthalocyanine dye for CD-R, ensuring excellent durability and reliability with a high resistance to sunlight factor.
