Ricoh has issued a firmware update for the Ricoh GXR body as well as the two interchangeable units that were announced along with it. Version 1.07 introduces two new AF modes for the A12 50mm unit, QK-AF and FR-AF, improves exposure accuracy, white balance and focus accuracy in certain circumstances, and fixes a couple of bugs.

I would like to say this new firmware makes focusing much quicker in the QF mode. Indoors I like the FR mode because you don't get the frozen screen during focusing. Outdoors or in good light the QF is fast enough that you barely notice the screen freeze during focusing so it isn't as irritating. The MF is really much better and now much more usable. Anyone know what other fixes have been made?
