it is slow and noisy , look at the image quality section of this review.

I truly appreciate his review on this one , I was almost ordering it.

Also , there is a lens cap , wow, like LX2, this is really annoying.

I hate a lens cap and a lens starts from 38mm angle.

Canon A710 IS has much better image quality, with better lens sarts from 35, with lens barrier not a cap.

This model 's style is very cool.

Well next time , Samsung should try to get rid of the lens cap and change the sensor to a CMOS from Canon , then would be unbeatably good.

I am glad for this review since I was on the verge of buying this camera. The part about the noise in the pictures is unbelievable. I compared these pics with an old olympus 3.1 megapixal camera and it won hands down. Thanks for saving my bacon. I would have been very dissapointed in the pictures.

I agree with the earlier comments. The noise level is just unbearable. Even worse than the old Canon PowerShot A85.

my only problem with my new camera is although it has 19mb built-in memory and I have a 2gig card installed, I cant believe the only way to get the files onto the card is to stop in the middle of shooting when the Card Full message comes up and then "Copy to card"

Please tell me there is a way to set the inserted memory card as the default memory? thanks in advance for any info you may provide.

• Format memory/card
• Copy to card

I am surprised at the negative comments relating to this camera, Samsung NV7. I've had one for nearly two years and I just LOVE it! I have not seen the noise problems suggested by reviewers above and the image quality is superb for a compact. Also, the battery recharges when I connect to a PC via USB.
I also appreciate the style and metal body, the 7x zoom range is brilliant as is the lens itself. The touch button menu system is a breeze too.
The only problem, common to all compacts is that the LCD display is hard to see in bright light environments i.e. sunny days.
You can get one for less than £100, so enjoy the real benefits of ownership, ease of use and excellent images.

Oh gosh, I already already ordered one and on the way. I feel dissapointed now after reading all these negative comments about nv7. Actually I saw some very good reviews in many other websites and that made me buy it. But anyway thanks for everyone who post comments here and exchange their personal experiences with the cameras. This helps a lot. Cheers, Naz
