I bought this camera a few months ago. It is so easy to use, and is absolutely full of features. The best AUD$165.00 I've ever spent. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful camera. Love it. Buy one, you won't be disappointed.

I bought an S1060 in April 2008, and it has given me great pleasure.
To my great shock, yesterday it stopped working while I was shooting. I thought the batteries had run flat, but when I inserted new ones, it would not switch on but kept bleeping and going off. The lens is still open.
What shall I do? I am leaving for a holiday in Mozambique today!!!!!!

bought this camera yesterday, fantastic quality but needs retouching compared to the sony cybershot for example. I mean simple level retouches .. I found after a saturation +27, gamma 1.55 contrast +6, and blue -10 ... the images really come to life and dare i say it - magazine pro quality. Its a shame the camera couldn't do it at source but hell, for this price.. outstanding.

Is it just me or does the camera have a really bad problem with the bateries?
All I seem to be doing is recharging it! Fully charged bateries only last about 30-40 mins of taking photos!!!

The only time I've noticed the batteries drain real quick is when I leave it in and hooked to the USB lead after downloading photos. I use two sets of Energizer Lithium Ion rechargables in mine and can get about 400 shots out of a set. Maybe 300 if I use the flash a lot. I would try some better batteries and see how you go. :-)

Battery problems seem to be easy to get with this camera. I bought this camera 10 months ago and I found out that if you do not have quality batteries in it, it will drain easily and fast.
I now use recharchable Hahnel batteries, 2100 AA/R6 MIGNON 1.25 V
Now it is much better.
Does anybody know if it is possible to set the flash in such a way that there are not 2 seperate flashes for each picture that you take? With other words, I dont like fact that you want to take picture but then you have to take it 2 seconds before the moment you actually want it..
anybody has this problem??

I have a problem with my own batteries as well. I have used several batteries: energizer, Sony , Kodak etc, but after the first use, it simply doesn't last for up to 15mins.
I have tried everything......

Hello,
i have a issue with my Samsung S1060 digital camera.
If I want to take a picture using digital zoom as soon as I activate the digital zoom the camera turns off automatically. I can use the optic zoom without any issues but the moment I reach the digital zoom the camera shuts down.
Can anybody tell me the route cause for this issue?
Thank a lot!

I have this camera.
It is clear, but has problems.
My video part to filmm stopped filming at a point and it was only able to take certain pics.
When you film there's too much light.
When you take a picture its clear but not like professional or anything.

I have enjoyed this camera (S1060) for three years now. Battery power can be a problem but Duracell seem to last best. Not a big issue until of recent time when lens will not complete it's extension. Had an interesting time dismantling it before binning it! Would love to purchase another one purely for its clarity & simplicity of use.
