Samyang 14mm, 24mm, 35mm VDSLR Cine Lenses
Samyang have announced three new VDSLR lenses designed specifically for shooting video. The new Samyang 14mm T3.1 ED AS IF UMC, 24mm T1.5 ED AS IF UMC and 35mm T1.5 AS UMC lenses all include follow-focus gearing and decoupled aperture which allow the focus and aperture to be quietly changed whist filming. Initially available in Canon and Nikon mounts, the new lenses are due for release in August / September 2012, priced from £329.99 to £529.99.

United Kingdom, August 9th 2012 - Samyang Optics is delighted to announce three new additions to the popular Samyang family, all of which are dedicated for cine purposes.
Lenses with focal length of 14mm, 24mm and 35mm will be available over the coming months.
These lenses are based on the existing types dedicated for digital photography. The new VDSLR lenses differ with the inclusion of follow-focus gearing and decoupled aperture. Such alterations allow the user to smoothly and quietly change focus and aperture / depth of field whist filming. Another feature is the visibility of the aperture and focus scale on the side of the lens.
Initially available in Canon and Nikon mounts. Due for release August / September 2012. Expected street prices will be:

Great initiative from Samyang. We wish Samyang to introduce a few other cine-lenses i.e. 50mm, 85mm, 100mm & macro lens.
It would be better if Nikon, Canon, Tamron, Tokina etc follow Samyang.

14mm .. is fantastic for nature. I love this lens. Samyang or Walimex, is the same, not for architectur,but for nature is it perfect.
