The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG11 is a new, lightweight HD camcorder with 5x optical zoom. The Xacti CG11 can record videos at a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, and store them in MPEG4 format, with H.264 compression available. Owing to its high-resolution CMOS sensor, it can also capture 10-megapixel stills. The Sanyo Xacti CG11 boasts a 285° rotating 3.0-inch widescreen LCD for easy composition, a 1cm super macro feature and onboard editing functions. The new Xacti comes in a variety of colours, but seems to be targeted at the Japanese market only,

$300, this seems reasonable given the technology and size. Wonder if it has image stabilization.

If Apple made this it would have half the features, cost $650, and you would have to sign up for some sort of three year contract. The battery would be unchangeable and cost $600 to replace, and your video would be accessible only via iTunes :-(

Hmmm… If you go around pointing this thing at stuff, someone from Homeland Security is going to take you out. Looks like some sort of Taser thing.
