The Big Photo Show has announced the Seriously Fun Photography Photo Challenge. Held on 17-18th May in Los Angeles, The Big Photo Show offers exhibitions from top imaging suppliers, retailers and service providers; as well as an array of educational opportunities for attendees taught by renowned professional photographers and other experts. The Seriously Fun Photography Photo Challenge invites photo enthusiasts to submit their entries through 16th April. Winners will be chosen in two categories – popular choice, and professionally judged. More than $6,000 worth of prizes will be awarded, including photography equipment and services from Canon, Fullerton Photographics, LumiQuest, Macphun Software, Nations Photo Lab, On the Wall Gallery & Frames, Orange County Center for Photography and Digital Arts, Panasonic, Ricoh/Pentax, Sigma, Sony, Tabelz, Tamron, ToCAD, and Westcott.

The Big Photo Show announces “Seriously Fun” photo contest

Jackson, MI – The Big Photo Show, being held May 17-18 in Los Angeles, announces the Seriously Fun Photography Photo Challenge. Photo enthusiasts and amateur photographers are invited to submit their entries now through this contest link or by email. More than $6,000 worth of prizes will be awarded, including photography equipment and services from these sponsor companies: Canon, Fullerton Photographics, LumiQuest, Macphun Software, Nations Photo Lab, On the Wall Gallery & Frames, Orange County Center for Photography and Digital Arts, Panasonic, Ricoh/Pentax, Sigma, Sony, Tabelz, Tamron, ToCAD, and Westcott.

Entries are being accepted now through April 16. Winners will be chosen in two categories – popular choice, and professionally judged. Popular choice voting begins March 26 and ends April 21. Winners chosen by our panel of professional photographer judges will be announced on April 23.  

The Grand Prize, offered in the professionally judged category, is a trip for two to Los Angeles to attend The Big Photo Show, a Canon T3i kit and Pixma printer, and a deluxe framing job from On the Wall Gallery & Frames.

Other prizes

In the professionally judged category, the Second Place prize is a Pentax K-50camera, $100 certificate from Nations Photo Lab, a metallic print from Fullerton Photographics, a LumiQuest Strobist Kit, and a mini flash umbrella. The Third Place winner will receive a Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM lens, a Creative Kit by Macphun Software, a LumiQuest Strobist Kit, and a mini flash umbrella.

In the popular choice category, First Place prize is a Panasonic Lumix ZS30 camera, a Westcott 304 5-in-1 Reflector Kit, and a mini flash umbrella. The Second Place winner will receive a Tamron SP 70-300 Di VC USD zoom lens, Macphun Creative Kit, and a mini flash umbrella.
